Precisely launches Automate MCP Server
AI assistants can now seamlessly interact with SAP automation workflows thanks to the new Precisely’s MCP Server and native OData support for Precisely Automate.
As organizations modernize SAP environments and expand AI adoption, they face pressure on two fronts: SAP’s Clean Core strategy is pushing organizations away from legacy scripting approaches towards standard API-based integrations, while the proliferation of AI platforms forces teams to build and maintain separate SAP connections for every new LLM they adopt.
“Organizations shouldn’t have to choose between accelerating AI adoption today and preparing for tomorrow’s SAP architecture,” says Ashwin Ramachandran, Senior Vice President, Product Management, Precisely. “The Precisely Automate MCP Server connects AI assistants to SAP workflows through an open standard, while native OData support helps organizations align automation with SAP's Clean Core strategy. Together, they help customers put AI-ready data into action across SAP environments.”
The new Precisely Automate MCP Server lets AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot tap into existing SAP automation workflows through one standardised connection, without rebuilding integrations for each new platform.
Business users can create, update, or retrieve SAP information using natural language through MCP-compatible AI assistants, while governance controls remain intact. Organizations can extend SAP workflows to AI while retaining their existing security, compliance, and governance controls.
Together, native OData support and the Automate MCP Server give organizations a standards-based path to connect MCP-compatible AI assistants, applications, and platforms to SAP automation, compounding the value of existing Automate investments as the AI landscape continues to evolve. The Automate MCP Server extends Precisely’s broader investment in MCP support across its portfolio, helping customers connect trusted data, automation, and customer engagement workflows to AI through open standards.
