Infosec Podcast duo delve into behaviours
High Performance Podcast duo Jake Humphrey and Professor Damian Hughes are keynote presenters for day two of Infosecurity Europe (www.infosecurityeurope.com), the most influential information security event running at ExCel London from 4-6 June 2024.
Examining the psychology behind elite performance, Humphrey and Hughes are the dynamic duo behind the hit High Performance Podcast (www.thehighperformancepodcast.com/). Known for their insightful conversations with top performers across various industries, the duo will take to the stage at 10:00am on Wednesday 5th June to bring their expertise in peak performance to the event. Delving into the non-negotiable behaviours that lead to success, the duo will share anecdotes and examples from their guests’ achievements, considering how they have developed a mindset that gives them confidence as they navigate adversity, to reach the pinnacle of their respective fields.
As the cybersecurity landscape continues to evolve, the two will look into the threats and how to perform under attack. A recent report by Infosecurity Europe (www.infosecurityeurope.com/en-gb/blog/guides-checklists/cybersecurity-trends-report.html?) found that social engineering, human error, and supply chain vulnerabilities were identified as significant concerns by a third (33%) of the respondents. Additionally, the survey reveals that ransomware and AI-generated attacks were weighing heavily on the minds of cybersecurity leaders. Almost 40% of the respondents state that these issues were accelerating investments into cyber defences. This underscores the urgency for professionals to stay updated on the latest trends and strategies to effectively protect against these evolving threats.
With this in mind, the podcasters will shed light on the complex challenges faced by professionals in the cybersecurity industry and the behaviours required to remain resilient. In particular, they will discuss how to stay calm and make logical decisions in times of crisis, drawing from Hughes’s expertise in crisis management. With the ever-evolving landscape of technology and the constant threat of cyber-attacks, Infosecurity Europe attendees will benefit from Humphrey and Hughes's insights on resilience in the face of fast-paced developments like AI.
“We’ll be sharing our unique insights into the non-negotiable behaviours of some of the planet’s highest performers in their field, to provide an opportunity to learn from, develop and action these to achieve high performance in any role,” says Jake Humphrey, High Performance Podcaster. “From over 250 guests, we will highlight previous guests in the tech industry to reveal how they have reached their goals and aspirations.”
“The cybersecurity industry is incredibly fast-paced and complex, with burnout a real issue, so we’ll specifically look at how to handle high-pressure situations like a cyber-attack, to rationally approach the unknown,” adds Professor Damian Hughes.
“The event continues to bring to light new and emerging technologies to help businesses tackle the threats of cybersecurity and we’ve come to expect great insight from our speakers on the growing challenges within the industry,” comments Nicole Mills, Exhibition Director, Infosecurity Group. “The High Performance Podcasters bring something entirely different and engaging to enable attendees to look at themselves and their behaviours when it comes to handling an attack and how to remain resilient under pressure.”
