HBX Group partners Outpayce to grow fintech

B2B travel technology marketplace, HBX Group announces a strategic partnership with Outpayce from Amadeus to revolutionize digital payments across the travel industry.

The partnership will see travel partners across the HBX Group network benefitting from virtual cards issued by Outpayce, real-time data insights, and seamless integration with Outpayce B2B Wallet.

As part of the agreement, HBX Group will deploy Outpayce’s cloud native fintech platform to launch a new Payment Program designed to simplify and automate how travel agencies pay hotels, airlines, travel aggregators and destination service providers.  The platform integrates issuing and financial services capabilities with travel-specific features such as enhanced reconciliation and advanced cybersecurity.  Both companies also plan to extend the solution to support inbound (pay-in) flows, enabling a fully connected, end-to-end payments ecosystem.

“Fintech is a powerful growth engine for HBX Group,” says Daniel Nordholm, Chief Information Officer, HBX Group.  “By partnering with Outpayce, we are merging deep travel expertise with advanced payment technology to create meaningful value for our ecosystem.  This collaboration enables us to modernize financial processes, automate at scale, and unlock new efficiencies across the entire travel value chain.  We’re already seeing impact across our trade partner flows and are now focused on delivering the same seamless, end-to-end experience to travel sellers worldwide.”

“This partnership marks a major milestone for Outpayce, validating our strategy to secure an e-Money license and develop a cloud-native issuing stack from the ground up that’s specifically designed for the travel industry,” adds Sam Abdou, CEO, Outpayce.  “With HBX Group, we’re already issuing virtual cards at significant scale as well as working towards pay-in scenarios and we see huge potential to expand both services across the travel ecosystem.”

Present in more than 170 countries, the HBX Group owns and operates Hotelbeds, Bedsonline, The Luxurist, Roiback and Civitfun, and offers a network of interconnected travel technology products and services to partners including online marketplaces, tour operators, travel advisors, airlines, loyalty programmes, destinations, and travel suppliers.
