Rohan Durve, a senior consultant at Context Information Security (www.contextis.com) presentation at Black Hat’s virtual event (www.blackhat.com/us-20) will present an open source solution for creating lab environments for practising penetration testing tools, techniques and procedures (TTPs).  

The solution called Dynamic Labs is built using Terraform and Ansible for deployment on Amazon Web Services or Azure infrastructures.  For individuals seeking to practice specific techniques, the lab comes with a pre-built ‘Alfa’ template that can be used to practice common TTPs in isolation.

Experienced blue and red teamers can use it to test or demonstrate specific attacks or attack paths, while beginners can use it to take a structured approach to learning Active Directory weaknesses.

Instructors who are seeking to deliver red teaming training can also build their own custom templates for combining these defined weaknesses into an instructor-led, directed attack path.
